World’s first head transplant surgery is going to take place in December. Italian neurosurgeon Sergio Canavero is planning to conduct ‘Frankenstein’ experiments to reanimate human corpses to test his technique. The operation will be done by reconnecting the head with the spinal cord of a donor body. Recent updates state that the operation will take place in China. Eighty surgeons from Russia, China and South Korea will be involved in the transplant attempt, which is estimated to take 36 hours and cost $10 million.
Sergio Canavero tells that ‘There has been massive progress in medical experiments, which would have seemed impossible even as recently as a few months ago’.
If the surgery is successful, then the world will witness a miracle.
