The 36th Governor of Bihar, RamnathKovind, aged 71, is the presidential nominated candidate from the house of BJP. With this, all the speculations have been put to rest as to who the current leading political party of India will project for the highest political position of the country. He comes from a humble background and has served all his life for the betterment of the nation and the people. He sports a calm and composed look and is always away from any sort of limelight or public attention. This persona is the perfect example of leading life on the principle of ‘Simple living and high thinking’ and has always thrived for equality and inclusiveness in the society.
He is a Law graduate from Kanpur University and had served as an Advocate in Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India. It has also been learnt that he used to provide free legal aid to weaker sections of the society. With such academics and a positive outlook, this makes him worthy and an immaculate choice for the most deserving post leaving even the opponents to proselytize.
He believes in the spirit of oneness and in the action at the grass root levels without any kerfuffle. He has always contributed towards a fair and transparent system for all. He had meticulously worked on the educational front esp.in the rural areas and helped in setting up schools in remote and education deprived villages. He is known for the inquests and in impeding mis managements, irregularities and embezzlements at the administration level works.
He has maintained a decent image by staying away from all sorts of controversies and conflicts. He had contested a couple of times on the Uttar Pradesh assembly constituencies. He was a quondam leader for Dalit and Koli samaj communities. He had served as RajyaSabha member for two consecutive terms. As an MP, he had always pushed the envelope for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
The current President of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee’s tenure is about to end next month. Hopefully it’ll be succeeded by Shri. RamnathKovind as the fielding political party enjoys lion’s share in terms of numbers in both the houses of the parliament. Besides the BJP and its allies, other regional/ state political parties have also expressed their support for this forthcoming incumbent. This will definitely proliferate and adds more weightage for his candidature.
As per sources, Mr. Ramnath Kovind’s resignation as the Governor of Bihar has already been accepted by the President. With this news update, looks like all the political dust, surrounding as to who will be the next president of the biggest democratic country of the world India, has been settled for once and all.
