A sea lion grabbed a little girl and dragged her into the water. The scary incident took place on Saturday when some tourists in British Columbia visited Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf in Richmond.
Michael Fujiwara was sitting on a dock at the Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf in Richmond, British Columbia on Saturday. Fujiwara grabbed his phone and started shooting video when the California sea lion popped its head out of the water.
The girl and her family came to the edge of the dock to watch and play with the sea lion. While playing, the sea lion lunged within inches of the little girl’s face and it seemed like a friendly move but suddenly it jumped out of the water again and pulled the girl into the river.
A man of her relative immediately jumped into the water and saved the girl.
“After being pulled back onto the dock, the family quickly walked away from the area without saying much,” Fujiwara said.
Feeding like this is really trouble sometimes.
